2018 was not a good year for raptors in the Picos de Europa National Park. July extremely wet and cold made fail most of the breeding attempts.

This situation was specially hard with Golden Eagles. None of the pairs that I usually follow in the Picos de Europa National Park, could finish the nesting season successfully.At least this is what I thought untill last week. Walking through one of these territories, following an adult, suddenly this fantastic chick appears.Where did you come from?. It doesn’t matter!. You are here and that’s what matters.

Now I am sure that your parents have a new nest, I don´t know where, in this mountains… and I like it. A new challenge for the next months.
