As you know, in our birding walks, we always take our time enjoying all the the wonders that nature offers: Flowers, landscape and of course butterflies.
Among them, for me, one of the most beautiful groups is the Zygaena (Burnets). Although they are moths (their antennes do not have the characteristic mace shape) they always fly in the daytime.
Although there are exceptions, they are normally dark with blue or green iridescence and some characteristic black spots . To distinguish the most common ones it is necessary to look closely at those points: The number, if some of them are fuser…etc
